To better understand the story behind our brand Fostex WWII Series, we'd like to tell you more about our history and how we got into this special product category.
It all started in 1939. The Van Os brothers ran a forage business, operating on a small scale from a shed in the Dutch farming village of Benschop. The trade went well, but the arrival of the Second World War changed everything. The war years meant a hard time for business in the Netherlands and caused a big decline in trade.

To better understand the story behind our brand Fostex WWII Series, we'd like to tell you more about our history and how we got into this special product category.
It all started in 1939. The Van Os brothers ran a forage business, operating on a small scale from a shed in the Dutch farming village of Benschop. The trade went well, but the arrival of the Second World War changed everything. The war years meant a hard time for business in the Netherlands and caused a big decline in trade.
When the Netherlands got liberated from the German occupiers on the fifth of May 1945, the rebuilding of Dutch society began. The Van Os brothers had to look for new ways to get business rolling again. After delving deep into the market, the brothers found a special new opportunity; the trade in military goods and leftover army supplies destined for World War II. And so began the buying up of military clothing, motorcycles, jerrycans, military radios, compasses and numerous other leftover goods that were of very high quality. This marked the start of a new company/brand in a special industry.
The trade consisted mainly of used military goods. All these goods were stored in the meadow behind Van Os' company and in barns. There were literally 'big piles' of military material to be found in the pastures behind the company.
Over the years, the company grew, and new techniques were introduced. The market demand for new products with their own unique design increased. And so, the Fostex Garments brand was born, a new brand under which new products had to be developed.
The brand Fostex WWII Series originated as a unique brand label from the previous story. Within this special segment we design our own authentic WWII products to serve the closely involved group of consumers and enthusiast all over the world.
It is special to see that anno 2022 so many (young) people are committed with the events that took place during the Second World War. With our Fostex WWII Series merchandise products we try to keep the memory of the heroes of WW2 alive.
The team behind the Fostex WWII Series is also very committed in the subject and designs new products with passion and joy. It gives us as a brand great satisfaction to see our own designs reflected within the community. It is a beautiful sight to see people walking around in T-shirts and specially designed baseball caps during for example the D-Day Commemorations events.
We hope you value the products of the Fostex WWII Series and like our brand story. The team behind Fostex WWII will continue to develop authentic products in honor to those who fought for us during World War 2.

OUR CORE VALUES
We honour the brave heroes of the Second World War. To us, they are not just men and women who live in history books and films. We learn from their daring, self-sacrifice, and how they gave their all for freedom. Through our values, the spirit of their courage continues to live today. Before drafting was called for, many of the Allied forces volunteered to defend freedom. In 1944, they landed in Europe to assist in fighting a common enemy. Their story of heroic acts and unprecedented valour inspired us to create our Fostex WWII series. A unique brand encompassing a range of products related to that unique moment in history. We draw strength from how they overcame their fears and stood strong to secure peace for their families, their countries, and the world. We remember them and honour them and the important events they immortalised.
OUR VISION
Our vision is that people can experience the spirit of WWII's heroic Allied forces. We believe that army memorabilia should be available to anyone who wants to honour those who have gone before us. We want to see the regalia and insignia, the symbology and emblems that WWII heroes used be made available to all those who want to remember the war that changed the world. That is why we created our Fostex WWII series: so those who fought for our freedom are never forgotten.

We don’t need to look far to know that freedom is not guaranteed. It takes courageous men and women to ensure that it is respected and upheld. We will never forget those who fought bravely to secure our liberty when it was under threat. Due to their dauntless and valiant efforts, we live in freedom today. We are proud of these heroes and want to ensure they will never be forgotten.
